“The AI & Machine Learning Academy” is created by the CodeCougars team, consisting of UH Faculty from the College of Education, College of Natural Science and Mathematics, ITECH-STEM, and UH STEM Center. 


The main purpose of this innovative program is to promote/teach computer science (CS) topics, especially coding, to girls and boys in Middle and High School.

The Code Cougars teaches the following subjects:

  • Coding with Scratch
  • Introduction to Python Programming Language
  • Web Development/HTML/CSS
  • Game Development
  • AI & Machine Learning

Code Cougars Academy is sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute at the University of Houston and hosted by the UH STEM Center and the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the College of Education at the University of Houston.
